Transition in making : journey from Korea to UK

porcelain, various technique, surface manipulation, 1260c oxidation firing, 2015 Environmental change affects on my creation, my work has changed dramatically from functional aspect to sculptural possibility. Also the form became more organic and capricious reflected on my unconstrained status with freedom in making. The work on the left side which has geometrical shape without surface decoration was made in Korea, it has simple form and function for container but the colours give more playful aspect in domestic space. Piece on the right side was created in UK while studying at the RCA, the object becomes more questionable as curious being. This picture shows the whole journey of making how my work has developed and changed for the last 3 years. This work was exhibited in Hockney Gallery at Royal College of Art, UK.
