Ahryun’s flamboyant collection for Dolce & Gabbana, created under the DG Gen’D project, was showcased during Milan Design Week 2023. The collection draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of cultural influences and personal experiences, reflecting a bold and vibrant aesthetic.
In interviews, Ahryun expressed that the design process was deeply collaborative, emphasizing the importance of dialogue between tradition and modernity. Interview with Ceramic Artist : Ahryun Lee
The first Solo-exhibition “Delightful Moments”, featuring the work of Ahryun Lee, who resides and works in Germany, was held at FINORK SEOUL in Seongsu-dong. After returning to Korea for the first time in about eight years since moving to Europe, the artist’s new works showcase the changes she has undergone and present fun and innovative ideas in ceramics.
Rather than the conventional forms typically associated with ceramics, her pieces exhibit vibrant shapes and colors, suggesting a new direction for contemporary ceramics and raising anticipation for future developments in the field.
